How is Body Fix Unique?

All Body Fix therapists have received (and continue) special and extensive training in the following rehabilitative massage therapy fundamentals:  Kinesiology    Physiology    Postural Assessment    Long-term and Short-term Treatment Planning    Determining Contraindicated and Prescribed Daily Activities    Home Therapy Techniques including Stretching, Exercising and Posture-cises.

While we recognize the wonderful stress-reducing benefits of full body relaxation massage, we realize that a full body session only allows a few minutes per area of the body, which does not give the length of time needed to address holding patterns and soft tissue dysfunctions.  Most sessions are focused on 1 to 2 problem areas so as to devote enough time to make a significant physiological improvement each session.
We also do not believe in the “no pain no gain” rule, in fact quite the opposite.  While many patients need deep tissue, we do not feel that adding trauma to the body is helpful, and if a patient is in pain while being worked on, the soft tissue will resist the treatment.  We believe in going only as fast as the body allows, not forcing.  Each patient is treated individually; we do not use routines.

Sessions are available in 60, 90 or 120 minutes.
